Watch Button Inside History Modal
Overview
The Watch button allows a user to follow a specific entity and receive or review updates when that entity changes, depending on plugin configuration.
What this feature does
It connects embedded history tools with the Watchlist feature.
Why it is useful
- It helps users monitor important records.
- It reduces the need to manually check high-priority entities.
- It supports follow-up workflows for sensitive projects, invoices, tickets, or clients.
Who should read this?
RISE Admin, Project Manager, Support Manager, Staff User.
Where to find it
Global History Modal, Entity Timeline, or supported record pages if the Watch button is enabled.
How to use it
- Open a supported record.
- Open the history modal or timeline.
- Click Watch if available.
- Review watchlist settings or notifications.
- Unwatch the entity when monitoring is no longer needed.
Example workflow
A support manager watches a high-value client record so they can notice important changes quickly.

Common mistakes
- Watching too many records and creating noisy alerts.
- Assuming watchlist permissions are the same as Activity Log permissions.
