Overview

Watching an entity adds a specific record to the user’s watchlist.

What this feature does

It lets the user keep track of future changes or monitor the record more closely.

Why it is useful

  • It helps follow important or sensitive records.
  • It reduces the need to repeatedly search for the same entity.
  • It supports ongoing investigations.

Who should read this?

RISE Admin, Staff User, Project Manager, Support Manager.

Where to find it

Supported entity page, Global History Modal, Entity Timeline, or Watchlist page depending on the interface.

How to use it

  1. Open a supported entity.
  2. Open its history modal or timeline if needed.
  3. Click Watch if available.
  4. Confirm the entity appears in Watchlist.
  5. Review future activity from the watchlist or alerts.

Example workflow

A project manager watches a critical project during a delivery phase to keep an eye on important changes.

Common mistakes

  • Watching records without a reason.
  • Assuming watching a record sends alerts without notification settings.
