Revoke API Keys
Overview
Revoking an API key disables its access immediately.
When to revoke
- The key is exposed.
- The integration is no longer used.
- A vendor no longer needs access.
- A staff member responsible for the integration leaves.
- The key was created with broader scopes than needed.
How to use it
- Open Rise Audit Pro → API Keys.
- Find the key.
- Confirm which integration uses it.
- Click Revoke.
- Test that old requests no longer work.
- Create a new scoped key if the integration still needs access.
Common mistake
Do not delete or revoke keys blindly without knowing which integration depends on them. Document ownership first.
