Revoke API Keys

Overview

Revoking an API key disables its access immediately.

When to revoke

• The key is exposed.
• The integration is no longer used.
• A vendor no longer needs access.
• A staff member responsible for the integration leaves.
• The key was created with broader scopes than needed.

How to use it

1. Open Rise Audit Pro → API Keys.
2. Find the key.
3. Confirm which integration uses it.
4. Click Revoke.
5. Test that old requests no longer work.
6. Create a new scoped key if the integration still needs access.

Common mistake

Do not delete or revoke keys blindly without knowing which integration depends on them. Document ownership first.
