Updated Events Explained
Overview
Updated events show that one or more fields on a supported record were changed.
What this feature does
They record the affected entity, the user who made the change, and the old and new values where diff data is available.
Why it is useful
- It helps investigate sensitive field changes.
- It shows the exact change when before and after values are available.
- It helps managers review important workflow changes such as status, price, due date, or assignment updates.
Who should read this?
RISE Admin, Security Officer, Finance Manager, Project Manager.
Where to find it
Rise Audit Pro → Activity Log, filtered by action Updated.
How to use it
- Open Activity Log.
- Filter by Updated action.
- Choose an entity type if needed.
- Open the diff viewer or change details for a row.
- Review old and new values.
Example workflow
A finance manager checks who changed an invoice amount. They filter by invoice entity and updated action, then open the diff viewer to compare the old amount and the new amount.

Common mistakes
- Only reviewing the event title and not opening the diff viewer.
- Assuming all third-party plugin updates will have complete field-level diffs.
- Not checking the performed-by user and timestamp together.
