Visual Diff Inside Entity History
Overview
Visual diff inside entity history shows before-and-after values directly from a record’s history view.
What this feature does
It lets users inspect changed fields without going back to the full Activity Log page.
Why it is useful
- It makes record-level investigations faster.
- It helps non-technical users understand changes.
- It is useful for sensitive fields such as amounts, dates, status, or assignment.
Who should read this?
RISE Admin, Staff User, Finance Manager, Project Manager.
Where to find it
Entity History Tab, Global History Modal, or Entity Timeline where diff data is available.
How to use it
- Open a supported entity history area.
- Find an update event.
- Click the diff or changes action.
- Review the old and new values.
- Close the diff and continue reviewing the record history.
Example workflow
Inside a project history tab, the manager opens a diff to confirm that the project deadline was changed from one date to another.

Common mistakes
- Expecting diffs for events that do not have before-and-after data.
- Ignoring excluded fields configured in settings.
