Testing Webhooks

Overview

Testing webhooks confirms that Rise Audit Pro can deliver payloads and the receiving system can process them.

How to test

1. Create a safe test destination.
2. Send a test webhook if the plugin has a test button.
3. If no test button exists, trigger a safe demo event.
4. Check response status.
5. Check receiving system logs.
6. Validate payload format and signature.

Temporary tools

• n8n Webhook Trigger test URL.
• Webhook.site for temporary payload inspection.
• A staging endpoint in your own app.
• A local development tunnel when appropriate.

Common mistakes

• Testing with real sensitive data.
• Using test URL after going live.
• Not checking receiver logs.
• Assuming 200 means the whole workflow completed.
